I have a Corsair TX850w psu that i
Would like to carry over into the next build but I am unsure how much
Warranty is left on the psu? Is there a way of finding our???

When did you buy it? There have been multiple versions of the TX and TX-M series. The current TX-M series has a 7 year warranty and the previous versions which were not as good had a 5 year warranty. One easy way to tell is if the psu is Bronze rated then it has a 5 year warranty. If it is Gold rated then it has a 7 Year warranty.

I brought it years ago and since this post I have googled this, and it says something about 1st 2 numbers is the year and then next 2 numbers is the week of the year as there 52 weeks, I think I found the numbers, the correct numbers and if it’s correct warranty runs out this year...I’m thinking Better being safe than sorry I’m best to get a new psu unit instead for the sake of a little under £100 it’s not worth the risk

If it's not even 5 years old yet keep using it. It was a decent psu so should be good for another few years yet.

If you really wanted to buy a new one then check out the Corsair RM series. They have just been redesigned and relaunched and are currently at special prices at many retailers. The new one has white lettering while the older, inferior one has yellow lettering and you should avoid those ones. It's a fully modular, gold rated psu with a whopping 10 year warranty. OCUK only has the 750w version on sale but to be honest it's the best value of the lot of them being only £6 more than the 650w at the special relaunch price elsewhere. You won't get a better brand new psu for anywhere near this price.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Well I know I’ve had this psu for more than 7 years now and it’s been descent with out any problem what so ever, funny enough it’s has the yellow lettering on it so it could well be the inferior models as you stated...Think my best bet is 2 upgrade this psu and get another Corsair model you have posted...
One last question, will these psu fit into a Silverstone raven mini itx case with out any problems??
Once again ty for your replies and guidance

If you have had it for 7 years then it's the original with 5 years warranty which expired 2 years ago. Yours would be impossible to be the newer version as they only launched in summer 2017 when Corsair changed the OEM yet again. I would indeed replace it then and keep the original for testing/backup purposes.
