I have two memory kits both exactly the same editions:

6GB (3X2GB) CORSAIR TR3X6G1600C9 6GB

6GB (3X2GB) CORSAIR TR3X6G1600C9 6GB

The 'only' difference is on one kit it says in very small writing 'Ver 1.1' and the other '2.3'.

Not I have just installed both kits in my new Asus P6Td-Deluxe to give me 12GB of goodness. Just incase I have kept the kits together on the red and black memory banks.

Should it make any difference the fact that they are different 'Rev/Ver's'?

'NOTE' - they are exactly the same memory kits this seems to be just a manufacturer version thing.

Thanks in advance!

Apparently it is the integrated circuit, so most likely the circuitry has been updated, just a tiny bit, of different manufacturing process, or manufacturer/factory used, however latencies and clock speeds should all be the same, if the new circuit saved any power it wouldn't be enough to notice, both should overclock the same and be fully compatible with eachother, but I really I don't know what could have changed, it may even just be a date or location thing..

Some people speculate that upgrades could involve circuit breakers, etc.. still pretty-much nothing..

Shouldnt make a difference at all.
Ive run completely different manufacturers etc with each other before - just keep them grouped in the different channels.

Cheers Guys.

I will run with it tonight and see what happens! Will post back here in the week with some bench results.

Different memory IC's used, if their is a compatability problem Corsair will replace one of the sets, they probally switched over to another IC at some point.
