Corsair XMS3 4GB adding more?

hi all
I have a Ultima Mosasaur with a p8p67 pro mother board and 4gb of cosair xms3 ram (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) as oc have it on offer I was goinging to buy another 4gb but wanted to make sure it would all work ok in my system like this ?

The RAM itself should be fine to use.

It's not actually on offer but it's cheap enough.

The only issue is that filling all 4 RAM slots may affect the stability of the overclock. There's no way to know it will or not until you try it.

it's not just the filling 4 slots, the doubling of the ram can crash the overclock too. what you got it clocked to?

Really?

I've not seen anyone report they've had this problem on a Sandy Bridge system.

Having, say, 2x2GB seems to make no difference to having 2x4GB.

Didn't want to make a new thread, Currently have 4gb of this XMS3, prices are so low was going to add 4gb today. My 15 2500k is oc'ed to 4ghz. Not changed voltages and have the ram set up at 1.5v @ 1600 mhz. If I add another 4gb today will I have to chnage anything? Is it likely to mess with my oc?

Probably not.

If you have any problems just try a touch more voltage.
