Hey OcUK,
I would be grateful of some advice regarding some recent odd behaviour from my PC.
I have been getting the odd BSOD and took to running memtest+ to check my year old Corsair XMS3 memory on my Gigabyte X58 UD5, prior to this I reset to fail safe settings in the bios and changed the memory speeds to the Corsiar profile 1600 8-8-8-24.
Memtest+ failed a couple of tests after 2 passes in triple channel.
Now I have run Memtest+ using a single stick in all 3 of the DIMM slots and it seems to pass without error and even with 2 slots populated. It just seems that once I add a third module into the equation, I get memory errors. I have been unable to find the specific module that is causing these errors.
So my question is do you think it most likely the ram is at fault and needs to be RMA'd, or could there be a problem with my motherboard and DDR slots?
