I had Corsair Force 3 120GB from OCUK last week (when there was offer online) and had trouble with BSD some days with freeze with Firmware 1.3.3 on SATA 6Gb/s but no BSD on SATA 3 Gb/s. So SSD had put me off for time being.

just a firmware issue then.
why not look at an M4 as an alternative?

bulldog, if you can afford to buy a 980X then you can afford to get an SSD

there is no reason not to have an SSD with todays market pricing.

choosing a mechanical drive over an SSD is madness if you can afford it.

SSD had put me off because I had 2 x OCZ 120GB had died last year then now Corsair Force 3 firmware BSD issues. SSD isn't reliable at all. I know it fastest. I might get M4 instead as there is good reviews of M4 with no issues. I just don't want to waste any more monies on three SSD's that I had bad luck with.

SSD's are great! Even I haven't managed to kill mine, you'll be fine!

Ok, that's a lie... I've killed one, but the other 2 are fine!

Is there a story behind that?

Yes but if we discussed it on here we would all be executed ;)

For the record, I too have managed to kill an SSD, despite it being on a system that rarely puts any serious demands on the hardware (apparently the SSD controller died within 6 months of installing it!).
