after years of using HTML, i'm wanting to push myself into PHP/SQL and there relationships.

Has anyone got some tutorials for a noob at them, i have basic knowledge form HTML. but want to learn it step by step, with tasks as i go.

any ideas?

first off - good move :D

I've been learning php/mysql recently also :)

I've not got any books, I tend to get by with online resources and buying .net magazine which is great for web dev. and has some really helpful articles as well as great software on disk. - www.netmag.co.uk

Also theres a great site you might want to take a look at dedicated to video tutorials for this kind of web development - and you can request videos if there isn't one that covers what you need! :D - www.sampsonresume.com

http://www.php.net is the ultimate resource for all PHP and mySQL commands.

You can get an idea of some basic programming in PHP aswell as some other languages at http://www.spoono.com

Its always best to get some code and play it to learn what does what and go from there.

Could also try a Teach yourself PHP in 24 hours sort of book aswell.

the teach your self guide is the sort of thing I'm after just web based if possible so i could get away from buying a book.

I'm looking at editing a lot of my joomla website, and i can edit it i would like to be able to soon make my own version, with logins and so.
