cosair 500r question

Can anyone tell what dust filters the corsair 500r comes with? I know there is one on the bottom for psu but is there 1 on the front intake? or in the side panel mesh or in the top of the case?

If not could some one suggesat something to do this?

Only the bottom. The front is slightly meshed, but not enough to be a filter. The top and side....an open window has better filtering.

Saying that mind, i cleaned mine yesterday after a month and not a sniff of dust. I have the 2 front, 200mm side and 120 bottom as intakes and the standard rear 120 as exhaust.

I have another question actually lol... I know that if I got a H100 that it could fit in the top of the case but is there room for the standard rads that you buy when building custom watercooling set ups? Arent they thincker? or am I wrong?

Corsair designed this case for the H100....with some minor mods you can fit a standard depth rad in there, or if you can find some of the slim rads (magicool or someone makes them).

You have something silly like 23mm of space to play with.

how thick is a normal rad then?

I think its 29mm.

Look through my previous thread and look for a watercooling one and itll have most/ all the info in there.

EDIT: My bad, the 500R can fit a 29mm rad, other rads are thicker.

Still looking for some filters for the front intakes and side mesh..... been looking at DEMCiflex filters. Anyone used them?

I see you can go to them direct so I could order custom filters to fit perfectly

Let me know how you get on with finding filters atomos, just dismantled everything and moved the PC so my other half can decorate, found quite a bit of dust over the front and side mesh so time for filter I think. I'll give it a good clean when I get around to painting it

the front looks like have sort of 2 different type of mesh where the side on just 1, if you find any filters let me know

I have a question about the installation of an optical drive, I have a 500R, but what I would like to know is how to get the front mesh out to insert the Optical ROM Drive?

Little clips at either side, just push one side in and the mesh cover should pretty much just fall out.

Afternoon all, I found them in the end, Don't know if it has changed since, but I had 6 screws either side of the HDD cages with a screw cover that pinches on the screwdriver.

Managed to get it all together in the end so I am up and running with this new lovely spacious case. Just questioning now if I need two fans on the top.

Thank you again for advice, for second PC construction it took forever but it is working haha

I've added a spare 120mm as bottom intake and left the top empty. See no reason to fill them as temps are great.
