Hi guys.

Got a bit of an issue with my pc.
I suspect it might be the power supply.

Basically when I power up from a cold start the pc starts to turn on for a second then power cuts out and after another second or so it boots up normally.

Its been happening for a month or so. I've taken the pc apart and put back together again twice to make sure i've not put something togther wrong but it just keeps doing it.

I've plugged just about everything to rule things like fans and hard disks out but they are OK.

Any ideas?

The system is a few years old now.

The psu was replaced 2 years ago abouts.

The system is

Asus z87 sabertooth
Intel 4700K
Cosair H80
Two large fans.
Hauppage wintv 5000
Nvidia 970
Creative ZxR with daughter board.
2 hard disks
1 DVD drive
thermaltake Level 10 Pc case
NEC spectaview monitor
Wacom Cintiq 21UX
Wacom tablet for mouse

Ah not thought of that.
Maybe its a setting issue in the mobo somewhere.
I'll get the manual out and try that the next few days when I get time.

So its definitely not a motherboard setting.
Spent an hour today to make sure I have nothing but basic settings and still doing it.
Still trying to get hold of a second power supply to try.

HI guys,

Just to update its not the psu.

Today I fitted a AX760 and also a cosair h80 to replace the H50 and its still happening.

So there is a fault somewhere else.
