That one's a composite image though, isn't it? And a really long exposure, by the look of it.
I'm waiting til the end of the year and the darker nights before I try to get into astrophotography, but I've been pretty into astronomy for a good few months now. I'm going to read up on telescopes and stuff and buy a half-decent beginners one sometime in a few months, maybe figure out a way to attach a camera to it as well. But if I've seen anything so far about space pictures, it's that they're unbelievable. I've got an obscenely large amount of hard drive space devoted to Hubble and Spitzer images.
