Hi,
I'm about to build my first PC and intend to go for a reasonable overclock on an i7-920 - say 3.8Ghz.
I have a Cosmos S case and have read that early models couldn't accomodate large tower heatsinks, however this issue was to be addressed in a later revision.
I believe I have this later edition (bought from overclockers last week), however the coolermaster website spec still indicates a clearance of 145mm between motherboeard and side fan is required.
So I'm wondering - is this spec out of date and heatsinks larger than 145mm (Titan fenrir / Thermalright 120 etc) can be used on the new version, or didn't they properly address the issue and large tower heatsinks still won't fit without a case mod?
What heatsink do owners of the cosmos s have fitted/could recommend for the best air cooling without any case mod?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
btw - motherboard is Asus P6T if that makes any difference.
