Guys,

I have just finished doing my new build (used the case on my old build) and I just cant get the touch button to work??

I know about the 24pin connector etc , like i said i have used this case in my old build.

However if i dont plug in the power switch 2 in lead into my motherboard i can power on the pc using the onboard on switch on the motherboard (Asus Rampage II) but if i connect the power switch lead to the motherboard when i first turn the mains on it sort of turns on for a few secs then turns off and i cant power up using the touch switch or the on board on switch?

Does this mean my switch has now decided to become faulty :(

I dont want to strip everything out again as its taken me ages to get it right with my water cooling etc is it easy to replace the switch and if so where can i get one or is there another test i can do to try and find the problem?

Replys a.s.a.p would be very much apreciated

hmm well have to wait now to be authorised lol to post :(

i have taken the top of and have exposed the sensor, now this is the weird thing.

On the sensor in the corner is a red light which when you touch the sensor it comes on and when you take your finger of the light goes of so basically indicates when the sensor is activated or not.

Now it seem that the initial 5 second boot then shutdown is due to the switch being held on (without my finger) and the red light stays on permanently hence why after the inital 5 second boot it wont come on :(

now all i do is remove the power lead to the sensor and then plug it in again (whilst power is still going to pc, then turn off at the socket count to 5 then turn on at the socket and the red light is out and then no boot and i can then power on as normal.

But then if l turn off at the socket and leave it off for say 2 mins then power on again the red light stays on again and hence the problem returns?

Any ideas :(

Strange as it was perfectly fine from the day i bought it when i had my old rampage board installed but since i have taken that out and placed my new rampage II board the problems started ?

Also if i fit n old mechanical type switch it works everytime and if i try ad short with screwdriver it also works everytime just when i use the sensor it sticks on, until i follow the method described above

I have contacted them via email as suggested but still nothing at all , no reply?

Just a question has anyone else had problems with the plate a the rear of this board? I mean I was supposed to use the back plate but i just could not use it as it was making the board to high for the slots for the internal rear connectors to line up so I left it off but I am just wondering if this is still touching the rear of the case??

Has anyone else had an isue like this and what problems did it cause ? As I dont really want to take everything out again so was thinking of maybe try and cut a square out from behind the motherboard so that the rear of the cpu where the plate is, to allow it to be open. This would then give me access for the furture to change cpu block etc without the need to remove the board and maybe solve the switch problem (That is if this is a side effect of such a contact being made) or am I just trying to find an answer in the wrong place ??
