Hi there, was just wondering how much it costs ppl to fill their petrol/diesel tank from empty to cut off on the pump.

Mine is about £35 in a Renault Megane 16v Sport Alize 1.6 'V' Reg. Can get about 240 miles out of it at about 30mpg (no motorway driving)

65litres is the most i've ever got in my vectra
So thats erm £55 odd

Only does 340 miles around MK/Town :( - 25mpg ish
Does 470 miles on motorways! 35mpg ish

I hate it :(

from absolute fumes in the tank it cost me £47 to fill up on standard unleaded from the Esso, normally get 400 - 450 miles out of the tank. unless my foot is particuarly heavy.

70L never filled it up £20 quid lasts about 2-3 weeks only drive it to sainsburys. got around 18mpg on a run when i put about £50 of fuel in.

It costs me about £35 for a 40 litre tank of diesel.
I got 454 miles out of the last tank.
This is about 52-53 MPG.
Rarely motorway.
Lots of A and B Roads.

Last month a filled up my Corsa 1.2 with a full tank (£35) and reset the trip counter.

In that month I managed approx 300 miles with 85% of the driving done around towns.

As you can see, I don't do a lot of driving :o

£35, 320 miles in mixed driving conditions. Strangely I get better economy from my bigger engine than my original  .

Nice mileage Bluetonic, even when I am cruising up and down the motorway, either M1 or M4, at best can get 44mpg, doin about 70-75. Anything higher than that then am hitting over 4000 revs and it nails the mileage.

It's good. In my previous job, I had a longer run to work and the mileage was even better.

This is the one thread where my car shines a lil' bit.
At 70 MPH it's doing about 2700 RPM, so it's not doing much work.

Just filled up with £48 / 54.6 litres diesel :)

Had just done 580 miles ~ 48MPG which is a combination of 60 mile round trips on A roads and 16 mile round trips on B roads with the odd little 1-2 mile trip too. Can't complain :D

BeatMaster :D

EDIT:// Forgot to say what car :p Peugeot 306 1.9D LX

lol, nothing wrong with saving a bit of money. i say saving in the loosest sense of the word, have only been driving since October, bit of a late starter taking my test, and seem to spending the majority of my money on petrol, u dont realise how much when its your parents driving :D

Don't think my car has been used this much in its entire life, as it has only done 19000 in 7 years.

33 - 35ish is the most i've managed to put in, this will get me 250 - 270miles driving like a saint and about 92miles if i'm on the track :p

anybody know how big the tanks are on HGVs

was in a motorway service station once, and a guy paid a bill for £370 ish

i was like  that cant be all petrol surely ?

Think I hit £50+ a couple of times when fuel prices were sky high and I was well into the fuel light. Used to get at least 430 miles from fill up to fuel light though. Lucky to see high 300's now :(
