cost of new motherboard for Dell inspiron 6000 laptop

It's nearly 3 years old - motherboard has water damage - everthing else OK.

New screen 1 year ago (heavy handed daughter!)

Anybody had motherboard replaced or have an approx idea of £ cost. Dell will only quote once sent off!

they seem to be around £100 on ebay for the part, then an hour to fit at say £50, it would probably need a keyboard as well with a spillage.

personally i would ebay yours and put the £150 towards a new laptop.
