Keep your 4770k. Skykake won't be worth upgrade.

Really?

hmmm now that makes me sad. i was hoping to move over to DDR4 and a better PC/cpu

Im looking to run crossfire with my 390x cards..... I'm Always worried about the ever so scary bottle necks i could face :D

390X will bottleneck you in games before a 4770K will.

Even my 2600k still isn't even close to bottlenecking. There just isn't any point in upgrading CPUs these days.

Until the industry starts using something like graphine to make chips, I don't think there will be any real improvements in performance. Silicone based chips are reaching their limit.

Try running a CPU-heavy game maxxxed out with 4 GPUs and see how close you are.

Yep, as the industry moves on, games will become less CPU dependent and more GPU as DX12 will see to that.

Its all good wanting to upgraded to Skylake but look at the promise of z97 and Broadwell.......oh, where is Broadwell again?!?!?!?!? Hardly any retailers are selling it.

Running the rig in my sig at stock ( updated the BIOS for 3TB+ Hdd support.. cant seem to get the oc to work again ) i can run batman AK at 1440p maxxed out with all the options on at average 45fps... plays just fine.

So i think we are ok for a while yet.... considering i am running on an x58 platform still!

I keep mulling a new MB cpu ram combo.... but so far no need at all!
