Hello,
Could someone tell me about how much it costs for lessons (as in, the total amount, not per lesson)?

Just need a rough idea :)

Cheers

Well you'll get the inevitable onslaught of motors posters who passed in two lessons, but I think a typical benchmark is 10-20 lessons; some people pass in more, some people less, but you can probably expect it to be around there unless you're particularly good/bad.

I think I passed in around 20.

So if we're taking it to be ~£20 a lesson that's between £200 and £400.

Yeah the average is around 40 lessons I thought? So average cost ~£800

Edit: From the AA:

How many lessons will you need?

Driving Standards Agency research shows that the current average is 45 hours of tuition, with an additional 22 hours private practise to pass. Your instructor will give you an idea of how long you are likely to need after your first lesson. You can help keep this low by taking two-hour lessons and following our easy tips for practise with parents or relatives.
