I dropped a ball and lost the only key for the VW Transporter (newest shape) from work. Anyone know what these suckers cost from VW for a replacement?

Any way it can be calimed under car insurance or possibly business insurance?

feeling sick about this :(

one for my seat cost around £100, and then a bit more for programming

depends what sort of security your transporter has. i assume it has all the most recent tech, so it'll be the wrong side of £100
annoying, but not really the end of the world

Bad news :(

company policy when the key is lost is to replace all the locks+ignition!

So erm, ideas on that! I phoned VW today and the parts guy said 220+VAT +fitting! Ouch :(

you shouldn't have said anything to your company and just got the dealer to fix it for you on the side ;)

odd that the company only has 1 key to the van though..

You need V5+other docs to get the key cut, none of which are in my name. If only!

And yeah one key, half assed van rental company. Hardly my fault eh ;)

if it's leased, then the leasing company should have another key.
there will be another key somewhere in the system!
