What is it with these chips? My first intel chips, many years ago I had a few MALAYs and a few COSTA RICAs.
There was anecdotal evidence at the time to suggest the MALAY chips were better overclockers. This echoed my personal experience too.
Fast forward to present day, I had forgotten all about this but I realise my last two chips were CRs and both have been hot running or poor overclockers.
There's a 5 C difference in temps between some of the cores! Heat transfer to the HSF is poor too.
Are they *all* concave or what?
So... where can I get some varying grit sandpaper on a Friday evening?
