Evening ladies and gents!
I've got a little bit of a dilemma and would appreciate some input, I'm currently in the process of turning a spare room into a bit of a mancave. Nearfield projector, lovely 100" screen, surround sound etc all planned, but I'm starting out with the decorating and furniture. Given it takes weeks/months for anything half decent to arrive I figured I'd order early while doing the decorating, and as such popped into a handful of furniture stores such as DFS and SCS.
I actually found what I was looking for in SCS, which is the most comfortable chair I've sat in for a long time in the form of the Melody series loveseat. I'm debating getting a couch + loveseat from the range for my wee' retreat, however there's a snag which surprised me. The cushion/bit you slap your backside on isn't actually detachable and is solidly built into the overall frame, I've never actually seen this before and it raises concerns. As much as I like the chairs, I wont be able to replace the innards of the cushion to give it a new lease on life in the form of general maintenance. This is something I'm probably looking to keep for around 5 years before replacing it, does anyone have experience of this sort of furnishing and how did you get on with it?
Little bit of a weird one but it's the only thing putting me off, the styling I'm so-so with but as mentioned it's the most comfortable thing I've found by a long margin that's within budget (being around a grand for a chair and couch).
