Reason i ask is that iv had a 9800 pro for a while now ran fine...then i bought a new monitor (Acer 19" widescreen and had it running on a widescreen resolution)

Worked brilliantly for the week i was using it then suddely turned it on, logged into windows the kabam, GFX card went..

Coincidence or am i doing something wrong?

How old is it, how about an oem claim ;)

bout 3 years old

My boss had it in his draw at work as a spare, and i had a 9600pro previously, so he said he would swap it, and he would have the 9600pro as a spare..

Card has a lot of history apparently, lol

oops

Dont know what caused it tho

If it makes any difference it has an artic cooler and when i power on the pc the fan still works...So im guessing its something to do with the GPU core?
