Could anyone recommend a decent restaurant in the West End?

Off to the theatre next week and hoping to catch an early dinner before the show. I've had a look around and a lot of the places that google finds have a menu a little too fussy for me, not a big fan of fois gras etc. Was going to plump for The Ivy but it's full

Could anyone recommend somewhere special that has a more simple style?

Walking distance of the Apollo Victoria would be great, thank you!

Looks like you might be right, I don't know London well at all.

It's just for my girlfriend and myself, budget is not really limited, just want somewhere nice but not pretentious.
