Just looking for a bit of advice please guys! The thing is we are having a big extension done at home which means moving out for 3-5 months which is fair enough, but the old man has gone a brought a 30k "luxury" caravan at the local holiday park (Rockley Park) and they have no internet :(

Would I be able to get a decent 3g dongle or tether my iPhone 4s? Not looking to play any mmorpg's or anything just a semi decent connection as long as I can still play Diablo 3.

Moving out in 2 weeks :/

All advice welcome.

Depends on the signal. I've been able to play fast paced FPS games tethered to my phone (also a 4s, on 3s unlimited data package), and still score decently. It's not hopeless, but expect to learn patience when downloading. :p

I could happily use it for a few months if forced to though.

3g Dongles Would probably cost to much dude.

30k luxury caravan without internet??? baffled

Does it have a phone line? you could investigate adsl?

Unlimited Data allowance?

Rockley park.....enjoy the ice cold water flume and swimming pool. Re Internet maybe look at a mifi and a good allowance deal ? Better than nothing.

Oh and my sympathies on living in the caravan/etc I did it for a week on holiday 2 years back, after 2 days I felt like jack nicholson out of the shining.

If you have some generous neighbours you could use a couple of long-range wireless transceivers...

I've played iRacing online by tethering my iPhone.

Most of the speed tests I do give me a download of between 3 & 8 Mbits and a ping of 70-80 ms.

As long as you find a contract that is either OK with tethering, and won't rape you for download allowance, you should be fine.
