well got my sammy le40m87bdx tv, brilliant had it couple of weeks now. so when i got i t i checked for dead/stuck pixels, could not find one.

so i thought i would try connect my pc to it via vga because it says it can handle 1080p through vga in the book. so anyway after a bit of fiddling i could not get it to work it kep saying res not supported, iw worked in safemode i lowered the res but when in windows again it says not supported, it clicks too, like the old crt monitors click when changing res(guess i have to remove the drivers for my vga card then it will load up windows on a low res and i can take it from there, also is there any pc drivers for the tv) anyway so i made it click at least 5 times. now i notice a stuck pixel which can only be clearly seen when the background is red, it shows up black. white background shows it like a greeny coulour. tried pixel fixers doesnt work.

so was just wondering if i caused the stuck pixel with the clicks?

Mines just picked up a pixel that sounds just like that.

The TV should accept that res though, I run my Xbox at 1920x1080 through VGA. Is pin 9 present in your D-sub cable

thanks for your reply dude.

the vga cable has 15 pins either side, and no empty holes to suggest a missing pin.

have you got your pc running through the tv? if so have you got it at 1920x1020
