could i pair a 4870x2 with a 4890??

hey. i currently have a watercooled 4870x2 and i really like the look of these 1GHz 4890's. so. would be it possible to run the 4870x2 with the 4890 in crossfire?

I think it's possible but the question is would it be worth it.

3x 4870 1GB is only a few % improvement on 2 so I doubt it tbh.

It would be possible yes, but not worth it, as the 4890 would only run as a 4870.

Not to mention the problems you might face with it...
Not worth the hassle.
Either get another HD 4870x2/4870
or just wait for next gen cards

It's not worth having more than 2 GPUs, unless you are made of money.

I'm sure the technology will improve to make it a reasonable option someday though, just as 2 GPUs have become so now.
