Hi,

Wondering if I could have your thoughts on the below?

CPU i7 970 3.2
Asustek P6X58D-E
12GB DDR3 Triple
2x GTX670 2GB in SLI

Think that the GPU's maybe showing their ages now. Prob can't afford 2 new GPU's but one to replace them and improve maybe?

Do you feel you need to upgrade? Are you noticing that you cant play your games (presuming you are a gamer) at the settings you want to?

Your PC is older now yes, but to be honest its not 'bad' exactly.

Yeah pc gamer all round.

Starting to notice a little slow down on some of the new games and like to be ready for stuff coming out at the end of the year.

2 x 670s = 1 x 970/980. So a worthy upgrade would be a card more powerful than a 980. Or 2 x 780s/290s. Otherwise I'd hold for now.

Not quite.

Two 780s in SLI, depending on the game, are worse than one 980.

I would say that if the OP is feeling the upgrade itch and is noticing that some modern games are struggling at the resolution/settings they wish to game at then yes I would upgrade.

The next obvious question is to what though.
