Could literally play video games all day long and do

I often do this but its summer break and until next semester ill abuse my free time. During term time i have the ability just not the time. If im particularly skint then i can make space for a game day as i cant afford to go out. usually on the last week of each month ill be having game days while im on my last £3 waiting for pay day ;)

Good thing about gaming is you save so much money. Could easily spend 50-100 quid on a night out and not remember anything lol. A night in gaming is free.

Though you have to buy consoles, tv etc at one point lol
 
I also like playing games all day if I can. Don't get much opportunity now as I'm married so often end up doing things on holidays. The comments about getting a "girlfriend" and "sex" are just the typical ones you see from younger gamers, yes I have given up some of my gaming time for the above but that doesn't change the fact that I enjoy long gaming sessions.

On a related note I think it is worth pointing out that (unlike many on this forum) I have literally never got bored of PC gaming and can't imagine that I ever will. There's just such a huge number of games out there that I've always got a massive backlog of dozens of games that I'm itching to play. Which is one of the reasons why I can sit and play games all day, there is always something new to experience.

I agree with all your points. I also cannot understand how people get bored of gaming unless they limit themselves to certain genres. Recently I played through all of AC and ACII in about a week but when I started on Brotherhood I was getting bored with that so now I am playing a bit of Torchlight and a bit of LoL with some TF2 mixed in there. There are so many games to choose from and so little time to play them all.

Also, I'm not sure if other people get this but sometimes when I am playing a really good game (Metro 2033, ACII, Mass Effect, Hitman etc etc) I just can't stop playing and have been known to play for extended periods (10 hours straight) of time just because I have to finish it.

thats whaT i was meaning if you enjoy many genres such as me you coudl easily play games all day and for weeks at a time, for example I was hardcore into cod and bf but then I got fed up off shooters so I got back into RPgs, then i got bored of rpgs so I played action adventure games etc....then soemtiem sI mix it up. I play football manager for ages, then some COd, then some FIFA etc...all in the same day then next day olbivion and gta etc..

Also, yeh when I play a game liek mas effect 2 I can eaisly play it for 10hr per day for 4 days just so addicted to it until I complete it.

Also fact I dont really go out much or enjoy going out means that my free time is often in the house with a choice between games, tv, music, making music, dvd really for what to do. If your a party or pub person it would be hard to game a lot but Im not out for hours every day by choice and I dont like to go out every weekend tbh

I could do this, but I do find my eyes and wrists get a bit wrecked after so long and I have to take longer breaks these days. I don't have much time to do all-day gaming sessions anymore, job and gf take up most of my time, but I do get the odd day during the week when the other half is at work. Then I can game until my eyes fall out :)
 
When I get into an MMO I can literally play all day with a break every couple of hours.

I find with other games like BFBC2 or Starcraft 2 I can only play for a few hours before I get bored.
