Could my motherboard be failing?

For a few weeks now, my web browsing experience has been becoming more and more tedious.

I assumed it was down to my blueyonder connection and was seriously considering moving ISP.

Basically, web pages take ages to appear (resolve I think is the right word?). If I click on a link, it can take 2 minutes to appear with the green progress bar slowly crawling along to the end.

But just last night, I was browsing the autotrader website and did a search for BMW. After about 5 minutes of nothing appearing, I was about to give up when I noticed my wife browsing the same site and searching with immediate results. Her web browsing experieence is as good as it ever was yet we share the one broadband connection through our netgear router.

Could it be the ethernet port on my motherboard. Switching router connections around makes no difference.

I have cleared my cache and cookies etc

Try a different browser.
Its probably software based, could check your mobo manufacturer site to see if there are new ethernet/chipset drivers.

Hmmm - back to duff internet again. Looks like reloading the drivers was just a temporary solution.

Any help still appreciated guys
