Now the minimum system requirements of Black Ops are as follows:

Core 2 Duo @ 2.4GHz
2GB RAM
256 MB Video Card
12GB HDD Space

My old gaming PC has a

Core 2 Duo @ 2.13GHz (I'm about 270MHz short will it still run?)
2GB RAM ~ fine
512 MB Radeon 4850 ~ fine

So when Treyarch put 2.4GHz minimum that is really the least right?
BTW cant OC cos of my old basic MOBO.

You should be able to almost max it out, maybe turn off some non essential stuff like anti aliasing.

Its not a demanding game

Dont know how much patches may have improved performance but before christmas I was running the game with an E6600, 4gig of ram and an Nvidia 460 and perfornace was pretty shoddy verging on unplayable.

Tbh, its a very buggy game, even with the spec i have in sig, it doesnt run all that well at all. Mw 1/2, i can run those maxed at 1920x1200, but bo is a no no.

guess that is a no then. I wish there was a demo so I could try it out.

Treyach did a pretty bad job with optimization guess that explains the rather high min system req

Well my pc is a similar spec, same cpu with a mild overclock, not sure how the graphics compare though. and COD-MW1 will run with everything on max. However it badly needs more ram (I'm having 4gb Corsair xms2 being delivered tomorrow as it happens!), it sometimes freezes for a few seconds and I think that's because of the the lack of ram.

Here's a screenie from just after running COD-MW

just look at minimum spec a dual core isnt even minimum . you should never aim for minimum either as you bound to get problems. ive tried lots of different pc with this game and play with a lot with different specs.

cpu wise i wouldnt even try to play on less than a quad. not for decent play anyway.

well it wants a minimum of a e6400 i think it was or tricore amd athlon

so if thats minimum you going to get problems.

a quad is what i would play it on .
