With a 2500K 5GHz is a challenge but several have got there although you would probably have to increase the voltage further than you would want for day to day use.
Give it a go, but move upwards slowly and let the CPU settle at each increase.... take you time and enjoy trying
Its not always easy. There are lots of tweaks not everyone is letting on, or they can't quite remember what they did that was different from the clock that didn't work to the one that did
Today I turned Spread Spectrum off, dropped PLL to 1.6 and bumped vcore to 1.45 in Bios, 1.48 in cpuz under load and got a 5.0Ghz SuperPi run.
Before today I hadn't been able to do that.
Not to say you won't be able to dial in 1.4V, leave everything else on Auto and get 5.0Ghz Prime stable for 8 hours, just that every chip is different
What I'd love to see is photos of bios settings for some of the better overclocks and overclockers on SB. Because its pretty different on this platform than it was on X58, the same things dont seem to work and some things do
Anyway give it a go and let us know how you get on.
