Hi,

am looking to upgrade my PC in near future with 9800x3d, motherboard and memory and have noticed that another UK retailer has been doing combo deals for sometime, but see Overclockers only doing just a few older Overclock bundles. It would be great if Overclockers could start doing bundle deals that I see USA retailers like Newegg and Micricenter do which offer a real discount to customers for buying all three main items at once.

Is this something that Overclockers could consider doing?

What, you mean give a discount?

I suspect those deals get an incentive from AMD/Intel or the motherboard maker, because I don't remember seeing any comparable deals to what USA buyers get here.

I agree with OP, but yes the Americans get do get great bundle deals, surely it's worth making a small loss in one part to help shift two/ three other parts, but obviously depends on OCUK's margins

yeah memory motherboard and CPU bundles make sense, with parts that work together would simplify for those first timer builders. As with everything else everything would work...unless some stupid choice like ATX board in a MATX case etc.

Yeah pretty certain I remember
They used to do them
Years ago
Yeah I remember around 10 years ago my brother bought a 4790k + board and ram bundle deal off Overclockers.

The only ones they seem to do now are the expensive 8pack bundles but those are generally flagship parts.

Yeah i seem to remember they did
Low cost ,medium cost ,top of the range
The 8 pack stuff i guess supplanted top of the range
Not sure why they stopped the others
Not selling enough i guess

I got a cpu, motherboard, ram combo from what I suspect is the other retailer on my last build. It was very handy to buy it all in one go. Hard to choose between motherboards when you don't really understand the difference

To be fair it could be good to do (for OCUK) even with no discount so they can confirm compatibility.
I'm assuming there's a reason they don't do them currently, I imagine margins aren't great already, maybe thats a UK thing as the bundle deals we see from US based retailers seem crazy good sometimes.

i got an amazing 8pack black friday bundle back in..... around 2016.

Intel 5820k, AIO cooler, mobo, 16gb of ram and a 512gb M2 SSD.

the SSD is still my system drive and cooler i still have cooling my new gaming system now, and the mobo, processor and ram are in my arcade machine. i cant remember exactly how much but i saved a bundle on that. maybe keep an eye out later this month for another BF special. (only quibble... I never did get the ram to run stably at its advertised settings! but a minor complaint)
