Hi,
Just built a second pc with spares etc for a little project I am doing using an old MS-6367 mobo (M-ATX), with Nvidia Crush Chipset. Its running an AMD Duron 1.2GHz (Socket A).

I am having to use Speedfan as coretemp and realtemp wont work with this cpu. Anyhow I just wanted someone to look at the speedfan temps and if possible advise on what temp relates to what component.

I've tried to work it out the best I can: -
  1. temp 3 is the processor as this is the one that fluctuates the most?
  2. temp 1 at the top of the list seems to fluctuate but temp 1 listed at the bottom does not appear to move from 22 celsius?
  3. HD0 is the hard drive.
  4. GPU is stuck at 0 celsius (I am using an Nvidia GeForce MX420 card)?
  5. Temp 2 is stuck at 128 celsius and having done a google this appears normal?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated or have I got it right?

Don't check your temps with speedfan, use coretemp and everest they are most accurate, if your processor was really at 128C you would have fried it.

Everest is far to bulky for what I need and coretemp doesnt work with this cpu

Your best bet would be to download hwmonitor and have both that and speedfan open so u can match the temps to things.

And then rename them in speed fan, you do this by going into configure, and highlighting what u want to rename then press F2, rename and press enter.

And to those that knock speedfan, it does a job simple as that, and non of the temp reading software out there are accurate, its as simple as that.
