I need a new system for general browsing , storage and demanding programs

I have £400 to spend max.

I need windows also. If someone could put together a system then that would be great. I already have a monitor. I would also like a decent looking case and PSU/Motherboard so i could add in a GFX card later on

Maybe you could use some of the components from the this week only and daily deals.

Thanks

Here is what i came up with, Its rather difficult since the price is only £400 and
you need the OS as well.

There is no Graphics card as it has on board gfx and you can add a card later,
also i have not put any Cathodes or anything on due to the price as well but
those can be got when you have the money for it as well.

You can get the 430 elite looking nice with the addition of a few coloured fans. I used it for my build, and the side window is a nice size. Add a few blue LED fans and you'll be fine

yes it is, it makes the price this.

Is that everything i need? Because i can use the savings to get an SSD for windows booting

This is also my first build so i hope its all compatible lol

Ok thanks ,

So do i need any other accessories such as sata cables or anything , Can you recommend an SSD?

Also how would i use the SSD for windows booting and the 500gb drive for storage?

Do you have MSN or Skype incase i get stuck also because i rarely visit this forum.

Thanks again,
Dan

You may need another SATA cable, budget motherboards usually come with just two - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-035-OK&groupid=1929&catid=1928&subcat=

Attach the SSD to one SATA port, and the 500GB HDD to another SATA port, optical drive to another.

Enter the BIOS and change the SATA controller from IDE to AHCI mode.

Set the other BIOS settings such as time and date, set the Boot order to DVD/CD drive first and the SSD second, stick the Win7 install disk into the drive and the first few windows it brings up will give installation options where you can select which drive to install too, just pick the SSD.

Ok .

So i have everything in the basket how does it look?:
