Could someone explain 1:1 please?

I've read about it so much, but I simply can't figure out exactly what is meant by 1:1. I know it has something to do with the FSB and RAM.

Could someone explain it simply please.

no. by definition running on a divider will run the ram out of sync with the fsb, that is the reason we have dividers so we can run ram slower than the system fsb. usefull when using cheap ram, or when overclocking and you ram has reached its limits.
