Could someone help a friend of mine please?

Hi there.

A friend has lost a file on her USB pen. The file is a Word file, it's 2007. She tried to open it when in uni on an older version and it came up in code. When she got home she tried opening it again and the document is blank.

Is there any recovery software that she could try, to see if the file is still on the usb pen? Any ideas?

Probably couldn't open it at uni as it was .docx which is what Office 2007 uses.

Try using Google or Open office to open it?
