Could someone help me find a monitor... Please :D

Right basically, i know nothing about monitors. Except mine is rubbish and about 8years old.

A mate of mine has a flat screen, that he uses for PC/PS3/TV ... how is this ?! I wouldn't mind this either - But i can't get hold of him to ask. So i thought id ask u lovely people

Id want a monitor so i could use a PC/PS3/TV on it, if thats possible for £250

Could anyone help me with this ?

It could be a 19"/20"/22" TV-monitor with a built in tuner or he could be using a TV tuner on any number of HDCP enabled monitors with HDMI or DVI connections.

He could also be using a VGA adapter for the PS3 or an actual dedicated TV with a 1366x768/1920x1080 res... Why don't you ask him? More likely to know how he done it than we are.

If you're looking for using the thing just for gaming you may be best getting an HDTV, however, you'll be hard pressed to find one that does 1080p for that price.

You could look at one of the cheap TN panels, for instance the Benq G2400W which is meant to be OK. Comes with an HDMI and VGA port as inputs IIRC so you can use the XBOX 360 or the PS3.

Be aware that as it's a TN panel it's got much lower viewing angles (especially vertically - look at extreme vertical angles and you get an inverted colour effect) but it you're gaming head on it should be alright.
