Could someone help me with a little Android SDK problem?

Hi all, I have a Samsung Galaxy S and the internal memory has packed in so I did some digging and found out that you can use the external memory as internal memory and save the phones life. Then I found a video on YT on how to set up the SDcard etc but after getting the phone working again, the camera and picture gallery will not work as they cannot find the memory card but this can be fixed with a few lines of code using ADB shell. I have no idea how to get into ADB shell so I am stuck at this point. 7mins in on the video to be precise lol.

I have downloaded Samsung SDK and thats as far as I get. Can someone point me in the right direction noob style please.

Install the Android SDK and make sure your phone has USB Debugging Enabled.
