Could someone with the old Nvidia control panel and the new one do a setting comparison for me?

I just installed my 8800gts and cannot get the old control panel to work with the 97.44 x64 drivers. It’s not much of a problem only 1 settings works differently for me.

In the old panel I could go into Colour Correction and change gamma from 1.0 down to 0.75. Could someone with older drivers and both panels set there gamma to 0.75 then tell me what x% number that is in the new control panel?

Or is there a way to change the new panel from % back to the old number digits

If you go to regedit, navigate to this key...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIACorporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies

then change the 3 policy values to 1 then that will reset to the old control panel. You can then adjust it like you used to, then change the calues back to 2 to reset to new control panel but keep your settings. this is how i got overclocking to work on my card as it was just not letting me in the new panel.

Thanks that got the old panel back. Only the new panel gamma control is no broke. Still as long as the settings stick it doesn’t matter.

yeah, i'd say that if u wanna change them then just go back to ld panel again make the changes then back to new panel. I'm on the new one as some of the image options such as CSAA aren't available under the old panel. Hopefully they'll get the drivers and panel sorted soon.

Oh, and you're gonna love your new card, it rocks! i've been having so much fun with mine, have already played back through Tomb Raider Legend with everything turned up max and it looked stunning the whole way through, playing F.E.A.R. again and that is super smooth! These cards seem to clock well too, i have mine up at 650core and 2000mem, its a beast!! :D :D :D
