Now i have just seen my junk mail folder and found 6 of these emails sent to me in the last 5 days. I don't have a battle.net account. has anyone else had these.

just type in battle.net yourself and check your account, NEVER! click on links in messages from "blizzard".

Also im guessing your in the UK, and they are giving you a US number so yeh most likely a scam :P

Wasn't sure if someone had got hold of some personal info and set one up in my name, or some one trying to get me to click the naughty links. Deleted they shall be.

I don't have a battle.net account.

...seems entirely legit to me, an email regarding your non-existent battle.net account must surely be genuine!

I mean come on, really, how stupid do you have to be? :(

I didn't really word it to well. COULD THIS BE A SCAM as in a warning to anyone who has an account and get these emails. Im sorry if i upset you Kenai.

It is. I still get dozens of these on my main email. Not played WoW in over a year which was registered on a completely different (unused/purpose made) email adress. Its an Ackbar alright.

Don't mind the slagging - hover over the link provided and have a look at where it really goes. probably something like hahahayouisscrewed.lol

and learn from the experience that :

1. urls can be masked
2. people on the internet can be real ***** :)

You expected people to respond without sarcasm? The word 'could' implies the possibility (that you believe) it might not be a scam despite you not having a battle.net account. The correct name for this thread would have been 'battle.net account scamming warning' or something along those lines, hell even 'THIS BE A SCAM' would be more appropriate.

For a laugh i decided to check my spam emails yesterday on hotmail. There were the usual viagra, penis enlargements, sex stuff but what was surprising was that at least 1/3 of the emails were from 'blizzard'. Account comprimised emails, you have been accepted for cataclysm beta, more account verification emails even though i have never even palyed WoW.

yah i get these all the time even tho i stopped playing wow years ago. check the links in the mail they wont match blizzards url's.
