hey guys(look at my specs first)
Well i got my pc yesterday, built it(first time building!)and it EVENTUALLY turned on.I installed windows 7...pressumed everything was fine, played cod4,it was awesome 190 fps on max. The thing is,i downloaded the 9.6 ati catylist and everything seemed in order...until i noticed the speeds of the gpu, they were much slower than i expected. I cant remember which one is which but the top speed in the catylist thing was 200mhz,its meant to be like 790. Not just that but my cpu which is meant to be running at 2.5ghz is running at 2.10. Could this be correct?

specs
E5200
XFX 4870 512mb XXX edition
GA-EP43-DS3 mobo

It isnt something to do with running in 2D mode when you looked at it? (i.e. start playing CoD4 then minimise and check it with it running in the background)

I could be talking rubbish right now :P

While on the windows desktop it will be running lower clocks to save power when its not needed. Your cpu will have speedstep enabed (bios options of E1ST and C1E i believe) which will downclock it when its not being used heavily so that it uses less power.
