I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a 3rd installment, hopefully it will deliver just like the first two and not kill the series.

Anyone else like to see Max Payne pt. 3 on 360's n PS3's?

I'm betting if Stranglehold sells well enough there will probably be a decent market to aim at in a year or so...

Got mixed feelings about it really since Remedy wont be making it. Probably would buy it anyway though out of curiosity, since I loved the first 2

I loved both MP1 & 2 - they were top notch titles and made Remedy & 3D Realms a fortune. They have a brand that they should capitalise upon - I'm not too fussed about which platform it comes out on - PC or console.

Rockstar was (and is still?) the publisher so I cant see them developing it and they've got their hands full with GTA IV as well. Take Two announced back in 2004(or 5) that they were planning to do Max Payne 3 for PS2, but they never said who was going to develop it and we all thought they cancelled it.

Rockstar are the publisher of it. Remedy were the developers.

I have to say, I only just started playing max payne 1. I wish i had played it back at first release, Cos i would no doubt have thought it looked awesome lol. But that said, The gameplay and story keep me going

They'll have their work cut out, the game itself was fantastic, but recreating that dark atmosphere that sucked you into the game will take some skill.

Fingers crossed that Remedy will get called in to do the honours.
