There was a guy on TV who was eating nettles. Some survival guy. Showed you how to roll them up best to avoid being stung. Cant remember who.

Yeah I have eaten them.

A lot of upper class restaurants use them in salads.

Yeh ive seen a friend eatnettle, apparantly its not so bad so long as its fast. I think i became imune/de-sensetised to nettles at one point though...wouldnt have been bad then either.

The trick is to press down on the leaf, flattening the little spines that hold the poison.

I used to use this trick as a child to freak out my mates. Going so far as to prepare plants in advance, then casually suggest a nettle eating contest. It was rather mean of me looking back on it.
