run a bay rez and a tube rez?

i have a bay rez/pump combo, which i like as i can see the coolant at the front, but i was just looking into the side of my case, and i have a big space, was just thinking of things to put there, and the obvious one to me would be a tube rez.

how would it work if i put one in, if it would work at all, would i be able to have the bay rez full (ish) but keep the tube rez half empty (or half full if your optimistic)

just some thoughts, would like to hear yours too :P

you could, so long you don't have a cheap pump!

EDIT: As for how it would work, you'd most likely have to redo your tubing.
From your build log: I'd personally suggest this for aesthetic purposes:

hope this helps!

Adding an extra res won't add much extra resistance to a loop so there wouldn't be a problem in doing so. You would only need to be careful with bleeding the loop - don't have both open at the same time.

If he sets it up like in the pic above he wouldn't need to bleed the tube res, especially if he takes any internal tubes out, if the tube res has them. Just let it fill up completely. Air will go through to the other res and bleed from there. You will probably find though that some air will take a while to fully work its way around the system, such that small amounts will probably collect in the tube res in the days after. You may need to manipulate the res/case to make them go out the top tube as some will tend to settle under the flat top.

this.

i did it for a while as i dumbassly bought a ddc top with res attached, but wanted the bas res still. bleedy is actually easier as any air that got sucked down into the lower res would sit in there until you released the top to fill it up :p
