I have been using cordless screwdrivers for a good 7yrs or so, cos I have cerebral palsy and find using a manual one quite hard.
In the last 7 yrs or so Ive found 2 big probs with powered screwdrivers.
1 Theres only 1 speed, either off or on,(such a stupid design) and the mayjor prob with that is chewing up the screws and it slipping.
2 The batts only last about 2 years, so every 2yrs or so you need to buy a new screwdriver,
But for my xmas present this year I got the Bosch GSR 10.8V screwdriver with 11 torque setting and it solves those 2 major probs,
1. It has a Lithium-ion batt with a intelligent charger, so it should last a lot longer then 2yrs, and when there dead you can buy replacement batteries. Plus it has a extra battery too so I can have 1 on the go and the other fully charged.
2. It can go dead slow depending how much the trigger is squeezed in, so your in full controll of it..
I hope this 1 will last at least 3x longer then other screwdrivers Ive had in the past. Just thought id share that with you guys.
