Mrhhh interesting article on the BBC

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/highlands_and_islands/7291583.stm

So this Councillor seems to think she is entitled to free parking because she can't be arsed walking 1/2 a mile. She believes she should get special treatment because"obviously, as I am working, I a wearing a pencil skirt, jacket and heels" .

What planet is this woman on, what you wear to work should be appropriate for the job you need to do. If you know you have to do bit of walking, then wear sensible clothes. If you choose to dress inappropriately, then tough. I strongly suspect her issue is more to do with having to walk half a mile!

Patients and relatives have to pay to park at hospitals, but hey, it's good to see someone tackling the serious issue of inappropriately dressed, overweight people having to walk half a mile.

Sorry, rant over. Don't know why, but this story had be fuming.

Councillor - says it all. Some are great, but most of them act like children as the power and influence they have in the council goes to their heads.

Tell her to walk the fat cow, I know people who work in hospitals and have to pay for a permit to park there, close to 150 quid a yr iirc.

KaHn

a) she should wear more sensible shoes and eat less

b) i dont beleive that they make high heels strong enough to carry her gargantuan weight anyway.

c) this made it into the news??

I think she should be given whatever she wants, I mean, as a councillor she's second only to the supreme ruler of the known universe.

No - wait. Scrap that. Like her I'm chatting ****.

Half a mile? My heart bleeds... I do that twice a day getting to and from the train station, and I'll bet plenty of people walk far greater distances getting to work.
