counter strike 2 ?

I hope so! I love CS. My favourite online game of all time. No matter what other game is released, whether i'm busy or not. CS always gets a slot and it never gets old :D
 
well you heard gabe... he wants 15,000 emails about CS2 for them to consider it with the oranger box ;)

could do with one, with a anti cheat system that doesn't allow teamspeak or any other non in game team chat. ingame one works fine, out of game one so many clans cheat with its a joke. i don't bother playing anymore as cheating via ghosting(dead members of a team telling live players where the opponents are) is so massively done by most clans. Maps are old, half the custom maps are just useless fun for a day boring for real playing.

errr, that's why you can't spec, anyone other than your own team in matches, unless your also counting them telling the other members where they where killed?
 
some of us don't live and die by playing only in matches ever. if they simply added teamspeak and all other apps to a banned list then public servers wouldn't be full of cheaters. but yes also in matches it can be used. while a guy playing might have his hands full fighting 3 guys yelling " i'll take you all on" someone on TS can say where he is, if the whole teams there, check how many are left, can he see them all, say one area is definately clear because of that etc, etc, etc, aswell as obviously if they've run into the whole team going to plant a bomb at B and everyone else is at A they can tell them.
its more limited use, but its mostly on public and even private servers you can find where Clans simply cheat all day long. i can log on now and go into a "noob" server and you'll have one guy at 75-2 and the rest sucking, or you can go to a semi decent uk server with lots of clan players who are all cheating. its just no fun to log on for a quick game anymore.

banning all external voice chat simply gets rid of any even chance of ghosting and cheating. the ingame speak works 100% fine, not had a single issue with it, its fine for clan matches and is fine for public servers.

i can't remember, at last count i joined about 7 uk clans and quit them all after a couple days as i just don't want to cheat to win, it sucks all the fun out of the game for me.
 
... That's called teamwork and communication. There's no cheating in saying "There are people going this way" and you can do the same thing on in-game chat. It's like holding a radio in real life... Every clan does it because it's not cheating, it's the only way to play competitively in private matches.

In pubs I agree that clans shouldn't stack up onto one team, but I am happy for them to be using ts etc. in a pub if they're balanced onto both teams.

Banning external voice chat apps would be unfeasible and unfair...
 
Would cs2 even work? I mean imagine counter strike without dust2 for public!!!!! Given the games fanbase extends a decade? Would they do a totally new game? Isn't that why they updated Counter Strike 1 - scared no one would like a total change??

I think they will just update css with a new engine. Same old maps, guns, weapons etc etc. Just better physics and graphics
 
tbh, I've never seen ghosting on the public's i play, there just no reason too :/

That and i play on servers that actually have decent admin on most of the time.
 
If it did come wouldn't most people hate it anyway judging by the elitists complaining about CS 1.6 being superior to CS:S, etc.
