Its the same game really, but I hope they do a few more things and prove it as if its new. I'll post on the other thread then. I presume valve will remove csgo (this version) from being able to play when this is all complete

I don't see them removing a game that people have paid for. You can still play Source or 1.6 if you can find a server.

I think the difference here though is that "CS2" is an update, not a brand new release. It could go either way though tbh.

It’s confirmed that CS2 will replace CSGO when it fully releases, CSGO will be no more

CS2 is a free update to anyone who has purchased CSGO, although it’s free to play now and has been for many years.
