Counter Strike GO Console buggered

Hi Guys, Does anyone know why my console will not open in CSGO.

I have tried to reassign key ~ but no good.
tried -console in Game Launch- no good
I have been on Steam site they say that its a bug that's easily fixed but I have tried everything they suggest and nothing works...

Have you looked in settings that the enable dev console box is checked?

Yes I have and the developer console box is checked, I’m going to have a little play with my auto configuration file to see if I can launch console through there.
