Counter Strike Source ping problem.

Hey. Yesterday I was playing CSS fine with a ping of around 30 and now whenever I connect to a server I barely get chance to check my ping because I get kicked for it. It was something over 400 :eek:

I've virus scanned and everything and nobody else is on the other pcs so I haven't got a clue why it's so high.

Can anyone help?

Checked your rates have not been changed?

No not yet, what should they be at?

Not sure about css rates these days, but something around:
rate 20000
cl_cmdrate 80
cl_updaterate 80

ish

My rates were set at 30000

probably wouldn't be the cause of the lag

Also sometimes xfire is downloading in the background. One to watch out for.
