Counter Strike Source - Server licencing?

Do i need another copy of the game to be able to setup a server or will the one copy be ok?

Obviously i want to be able to play and connect to my own server.

any one know?

Believe that the dedicated server is free - just set up a new steam account and download it.

so once you have the steam account setup (which i have to play the game) you can just download the server software?

Well if i'm correct you'd need a second account as you can't use the same account twice at the same time.

You don't need to have bought cs to host a server. With the linux dedicated server you don't even need a steam account for it. I think you need an account for the windows version though.

i was going to run it on a linux server, so i should be ok without a further licence.

I know it's not a great deal of cash, i'm just getting everything ready to have a go at building one
