right finally started playing it again after about 2 years lol

anyway ive got it on the brightest setting but all the players are really dark and its hard to notice who is terrorists and counter terrorists any idea how to get them brighter ??

I don't have the game but are you adjusting brightness or gamma? Also, can you try playing with gamma settings for your video card in the display control tools?

Yep, driver gamma is the way to get css brighter. The in game gamma is fine for a LCD but it was v dark on my old crt. Try using atitools (or equivelent for nvidia) and setting up a hotkey so you dont have to mess around every time you change game.
