Hey guys, just installed CS:S and playing for an hour or so. Back to the good old days of CS.

As some might know from the cooling section that I have had CPU temp issues.

Two things here..first who all still plays? And if fancies a game let me know...

Second my max temp for CSS load is 44c. Does that sound about right for temps running a game as such?

what CPU do you have, and no you don't have to worry 44c is nothing! my cpu's are at 45 - 50c idle!!! (well, on these forums so 1% load)

i get 70c during max load (BFBC2)

Hi. Yeah, I play on UKCS, mainly on server 3, there are some maps on the rotation servers that I haven't yet persevered to learn the exact layout of.

Your cpu temps are more than adequate. They're actually very good.

I am a 1.6 player at heart, although to be honest when I've played CS:S I have really enjoyed it. Maybe it's about time I stopped living in the past and got with the times! Wait... Source is still ooooooooooooold

Download FakeFactory Cinematic Mod 10 and play through HL2 again and tell me it still loooks old!

Gives the old lady a new lease of life and my isn't she still amazing!

Used to love CS:S! Not played for a long long time. Probably around 2 years... wasn't too bad in my day!

I enjoy the run and gun games sometimes, then other times I like to sit back and pop head shots off with a M24 on BFBC2

I think for me the attraction with server 3 is that I can just sit there and become very settled and remain focused for a long period of time, well one and a half to around four hours, which is quite a bit for me these days.

Pretty sure your temps are just fine.

Mine reaches 95 if I'm rendering videos (had to remount twice without new paste when I got it), and it is still okay (although I really need to get new paste, sit at 55 idle).

Add me on steam - purdy8 for some games of cs, no one to play with these days after 4 years of wow=<

Pariah's my ingame name.

CS:S is and will probably always be my most played game, too many hours put in to it for any other game to catch up to.

OP's temperatures seem fine. They're just above what I normally get anyway.

Yep, still playing on Dumber #11 dust 2 only server.

Not as good as I was, but its still fun.
